FAQ's

What is granite?

Granite is an igneous rock, once molten and formed as it cooled within the earth. Minerals within granite typically appear as small flecks throughout the stone, whereas other types of granite have veining similar to marble.

Where is my granite or marble coming from?

Marble is found in the mountainous regions of Canada, Italy, Spain, Greece, and other countries worldwide. Marble adds a sophisticated element to your home. It's easy to maintain and makes the best choice for floors, table tops, vanities, tub decks, shower walls, fireplaces.

Granite, quarried in the mountains of Italy, U.S., India, and other countries, is the most popular natural stone of the market. Durability and striking array of colors makes granite an ideal choice for kitchen counter tops.

Why choose granite counter tops over synthetic materials?

While some synthetic surfaces scratch easily and melt under heat, granite resists heat. Granite is also one of the most bacteria-resistant surface and it's not affected by citric acid, coffee, tea, alcohol, or wine. It is, also, nearly impossible to scratch, and with proper cleaning will not stain under normal use.

Can I use different type of stone for my counter tops?

Yes, you have many options when it comes to natural stone. For example, you can choose from Granite and Marble, to Limestone and Travertine, to Slate and Soapstone and many more. Choosing a natural stone for your home is a personal decision. Marmo Enterprises, with more than 20 years' of experience and 15 years in business will be with you every step of the process in assisting you in choosing the right stone for your place.

Can I have different finish option for my kitchen?

Natural stone can be polished, honed, or flamed. Polished finish is a glossy surface that reflects light and emphasizes all the characteristics and markings of the stone. To achieve this finish the stone needs to be polished with 7 different diamond pads, so that the polish will never wear or fade.

Honed finish is a satin-smooth surface and can be achieved by using 3 diamond pads.

Flamed finish is a rough-textured surface frequently used on exterior projects.

Does my granite need to be sealed?

Yes. At Marmo Enterprises Is our policy to clean and seal every piece of stone we fabricate and install. With every counter top we install we will provide you or your customer with a maintenance flyer and some useful recommendations.

We also recommend that you should reseal your counters every six months by using the right sealer.
